Project Overview
This project involved the construction of a bespoke swimming pool and a modern rear extension, designed to elevate both the functionality and visual appeal of the property. The aim was to create a cohesive indoor–outdoor living environment that felt considered, calm, and integrated with the surrounding landscape.
The pool and terraces form the focal point of the garden, while the extension provides a light-filled internal space that opens fully onto the external areas. Materials were selected to complement the existing property, with natural stone paving and brickwork helping to tie new and existing elements together.
The Brief
The client wanted to transform their garden into a usable, high-quality living space that could be enjoyed throughout the year. The brief focused on:
Creating a luxury swimming pool that sat comfortably within the landscape
Designing an extension that maximised light and views across the garden
Establishing strong visual and physical connections between inside and out
Using durable, premium materials suitable for long-term use
Ensuring the finished scheme felt calm, uncluttered, and purposeful
Our Approach
Braybrook Construction managed the project from groundworks through to final detailing, coordinating all elements to ensure a cohesive result.
Careful attention was given to levels, drainage, and structural requirements to accommodate the pool, terraces, and extension. The glazing and large-format paving were installed with precision to maintain clean lines and uninterrupted sightlines.
External spaces were planned as defined “zones”, including poolside lounging, covered seating, and open terraces, allowing the garden to function as a natural extension of the home. Throughout the build, quality of finish and consistency of materials were prioritised to achieve a refined, well-balanced outcome.
The Result
The completed project delivers a sophisticated outdoor environment that feels both luxurious and practical. The swimming pool anchors the garden, while the extension creates a seamless transition between internal living space and the surrounding terraces.
